Nabokov's Unique Teaching Style A college professor at Cornell, Nabokov did not teach like everyone else, he taught the way he wanted to teach. *forget scripted curriculums and required readings* Reading novels he believed should be enjoyable and they should not aim to teach,; instead readers should develop relationships with the characters.
Technology will make the classroom more engaging for my students with Smartboards, podcasting, simulations, computer games and on-line resources.
Parents will be active participants in my classroom.
Every teacher has lofty goals for him/herself as they enter the field of teaching. Over time, however, while they keep themselves motivated by dreaming about ''what could be,'' reality takes a different turn. Click on these desired outcomes aka. fictions to take a peek at the reality. Nabokov's work, Pale Fire, is the inspiration for this Glogster with its interplay of the imagined and the factual. I also use some of his imagery and literary devices such as plays on words, alliteration, and hypertexting.
